Description
Many photographers prefer to use filter holders for added flexibility, control and accuracy. Most of our filters (see list for each holder below) are available in sizes to fit the popular P and Z-Pro filter holders, which you can purchase on this page.
Two recommended Singh-Ray filter combinations using these filter holders:
- Sprocket circular polarizer, Rowell graduated neutral density, Mor-Slo solid neutral density
- Sprocket circular polarizer, Benson reverse graduated neutral density, Mor-Slo solid neutral density
The P holder (49-82mm lens diameters) accepts Singh-Ray 84x84mm square and 84x120mm rectangular filters and P sprocket circular polarizers. Recommended for focal lengths of 28mm on up.
If you routinely shoot with wide-angle lenses, you may want to use the larger Z-Pro holder to help avoid vignetting. The Z-Pro holder has thumbscrews that enable you to remove slots to reduce the thickness of the holder.
In addition to the filter holder, you will need an adapter ring that screws onto the front of your lens, which the filter holder slides onto. You then just slide the filters into the holder. The holders are constructed so you can turn a circular polarizer without turning the holder — or you can turn the holder. With different size adapter rings, you can use the same holder and filters on a variety of lens diameters.
